How much does a Morocco tour cost? Prices per person

The short answer

With us, a private Morocco tour with your own driver costs from €389 per person for 3 days and from €1,729 per person for 16 days. That is about €100 to €145 per person per day, including vehicle, driver, nights, breakfast and dinner. The longer the trip, the less each day costs.

What changes the final price

The “from” price is the starting point. We agree the final price with you personally on WhatsApp. It depends on four things:

1. Number of travellers: the vehicle and the driver are shared by everyone in the group. Four people each pay less than two.
2. Accommodation: traditional, comfort or luxury. An upscale riad in Fes or a luxury camp in Merzouga costs more than a simple hotel.
3. Travel dates: at Easter, Christmas and New Year, hotels and desert camps are in high demand.
4. Extras: for example a hot air balloon ride, a cooking class or an official city guide in Fes and Marrakech.

Extra costs

• Flights: many European airports have direct flights to Marrakech and other Moroccan cities. The price depends a lot on the season and when you book.
• Lunch and drinks: on the road you eat in simple local restaurants. Bring some cash in dirhams.
• Tips: for the driver, guides and the camp team. The amount is up to you.
• Personal spending: souvenirs, a hammam or an extra excursion.
• Travel insurance: we recommend health and cancellation cover.

Save money without losing quality

• Travel a little longer: each day costs less and the driving days get shorter.
• Travel as a group: with friends or family, you share the vehicle and the driver.
• Avoid public holidays: the best time, March to May and September to November, is often quieter outside Easter.
• Ask early: good riads and desert camps fill up quickly in high season.
• Traditional rather than luxury: we check our traditional accommodation regularly. It is well kept and makes the trip much cheaper.

Private tour or group tour: which is cheaper?

A group tour is usually cheaper per person, because one coach is shared by many guests. In return, dates, route and pace are fixed.
