Itinerary

   Day 1

   Arrival in Marrakech

   Airport pick-up and transfer to the riad.

2. 2
   Day 2

   Marrakech

   City tour: Koutoubia, Bahia Palace, souks and Jemaa el-Fna square in the evening.

3. 3
   Day 3

   Marrakech → Telouet → Ait Ben Haddou

   Over the Tichka pass to the Glaoui kasbah in Telouet and along an old caravan route to Ait Ben Haddou. Night near the UNESCO kasbah.

   Day 4

   Ait Ben Haddou → Zagora

   Via Ouarzazate and Agdz through the Draa Valley with its palm groves and kasbahs to Zagora.

   Day 5

   Zagora → Erg Chegaga

   Tamegroute with its library and pottery, then M’Hamid. By 4x4 along the track to the dunes. Sunset on the great dune, night in a desert camp.

   Day 6

   Chegaga → Foum Zguid → Tafraout

   Off-road across the dry Lake Iriki to Foum Zguid. On along the foot of the Anti-Atlas to Tata with ancient rock carvings and through the Ait Mansour canyon to Tafraout.

   Day 7

   Tafraout

   Walk in the Ammeln Valley in the footsteps of the Berber tribes, the painted rocks and a picnic by the springs.

8. 8
   Day 8

   Tafraout → Taroudant

   Along the mountain roads of the Anti-Atlas to Taroudant, the town with the mighty earthen walls.

9. 9
   Day 9

   Taroudant → Essaouira

   Through the argan forests and along the coast to Essaouira.

    Day 10

    Essaouira

    Free day: harbour with blue boats, medina, beach and fresh fish.

11. 11
    Day 11

    Essaouira → Marrakech

    Drive back to Marrakech and end of the trip.
