Hot air balloon ride over Marrakech

At sunrise you float over the palm groves and Berber villages outside Marrakech while the High Atlas slowly turns pink. A calm, unforgettable start to the day.

Schedule

  1. Pick-up by 4x4 at your hotel or riad before sunrise (5 to 6 am). You get the exact time the day before on WhatsApp.
  2. Drive to the launch site, about 30 kilometres outside the city. Welcome tea.
  3. Briefing by the pilot and crew, then take-off.
  4. Depending on the weather, the flight lasts 45 to 60 minutes.
  5. After landing, Berber breakfast at the base and your flight certificate.
  6. Back at your hotel by about 10 am.

You do not need to go all the way to the Sahara for a desert evening. The Agafay stone desert lies at the gates of Marrakech, with rolling hills, peace and views of the snow-capped Atlas.

Schedule

  1. Pick-up at your hotel in Marrakech a few hours before sunset.
  2. Quad tour through the hills of the stone desert.
  3. Traditional headscarf and desert robe for photos, then about an hour on a camel.
  4. Mint tea in a Berber tent on the highest plateau as the sun goes down.
  5. Dinner at the camp with music and a show by the fire.
  6. Drive back to Marrakech.

Two Moroccan cooks welcome you to a riad in the heart of the medina. The head chef has cooked for over 25 years in hotels all over Morocco and shows you step by step how to make a real tagine.

  1. Morning pick-up at your hotel in Marrakech.
  2. Introduction to Moroccan cuisine and its spices.
  3. Every guest has their own workstation. You choose your tagine and cook it yourself.
  4. Lunch together on the terrace with mint tea, coffee or a soft drink.
  5. Recipes to take home and drive back to your hotel.
